Introducing Roadrunner

Project Roadrunner, developed in house by Fortescue Zero, represents a breakthrough in sustainable mining technology. This 240-tonne battery-electric haul truck prototype is powered by a 1.4 MWh battery and can be charged in just 30 minutes using our 3MW fast charger. This truck also features regenerative braking technology, enabling it to recharge while driving downhill. The Roadrunner sets a new standard for emissions-free heavy-duty operations.

Roadrunner is set to revolutionise mining haulage by dramatically reducing emissions without sacrificing load capacity.

It’s a key part of Fortescue’s strategy to achieve a zero-emission fleet by 2030, driving significant reductions in fossil fuel use across operations.

What Makes the Roadrunner a Game-Changer?

Designed for efficiency and power, the Roadrunner leads the way in zero emission solutions. We are setting new standards for energy use, load capacity and fleet expansion.
